On my recent trip to Sardinia, Italy in the end of April we have spent 3 nights at Kastrum Bed and Breakfast in Cagliari, capital of Sardinia.
Kastrum B&B is located in the heart of the old-town of Sardinia, just a minute walk to Cagliari Cathedral and a short walk to most of the tourist attractions of Cagliari. It is also around 15 minutes’ walk down to the strand.
B&B is located on the last floor of 3 stores house on one of the narrow streets of the Old Town. Elevator takes you up and right into the bed and breakfast. Kastrum B&B is a small, family owned business with 5-6 rooms. All rooms except Suite are located on the 3rd floor; suite is located on the 4th floor right next to the roof terrace.
Room we stayed in (Room 1) had a very high ceiling, huge window, double-bed, armchair, air-conditioning, TV; place to keep the luggage and clothes as well as small bathroom. Room itself is quite simple and has all the basic things you need, nothing extra.

During the off-season (such as April) it can get chilly in the room. This is due to that air-conditioning is switched off and the house has very thick walls to keep the cold for the summer when it gets very hot. Provided blanket is enough to keep you warm all night.
Kastrum Bed and Breakfast has a terrace on the room with an amazing view of the whole Cagliari. You can also have breakfast on the room under the morning sun. There are 2 tables for 4 people each so during the peak season it can be taken quite fast.
Breakfast is included in the price and is self-served. On the small kitchen/dining area which on the same floor where all the rooms are you will find croissants, coffee, small Nutella packs, bottled juice and water, some fruits and sweets and yogurts in the fridge. Room is available 24/7 so basically you can have a snack at any time of the day, not only in the morning.
The price of this place is around 60-80 per room (not suite) depending on the season and is totally worth it for it’s great location, amazing views and feel of security.
Walls between rooms in Kastrum B&B are quite thin so you basically hear everything and everyone in the place, keep that in mind if you prefer to have complete silence.
