Review: Two Seasons Hotel, Boracay

I have stayed at Two Seasons Hotel on gorgeous Boracay Island in March between 15th and 19th, from Tuesday to Saturday. I mention exact days here as I want to stress out that in case you want to have a more calm vacation you should go during the week and Boracay is not only popular as a one-two weeks’ vacation place but also as a long weekend place.

Even hotels on Station 1 become busy starting from Thursday and reach their peak of activity by Saturday evening.

I think you have already made some research on Boracay and it’s beaches. Island has 3 main beaches where White Beach is the longest one and the most popular among all kind of tourists, from those who seek peaceful vacation to those who want to party 24/7.

White Beach on Boracay can be divided into 3 main zones – Station 1, 2 and Station 3. They are not divided in any physical way; it’s just the feeling and the wide of the beach. Station 1 has the widest (it is really wide part!) and the cleanest beach on the whole island where more expensive hotels are located.

Two Seasons Hotel is located almost on the “top” of the Station 1, close to the beginning of the beach, there are only a few other hotels after it until beach reaches the rocky hill – dead end.

!

Tip: In you are interested in getting a place under the Sun on the beach in front of the hotel then get up early, get a towel from a guy next to the outside bar and grab your place as the number of those soft beds on the beach is limited.

I personally really enjoyed location of our hotel as it was even less noisy (there is not that much noise at all on Station 1) that parts that are down and closer to Station 2 on Boracay Island.

Two Seasons is not an expensive place and has great balance between price and quality. Hotels that are right on the left and right have higher prices but honestly – you might have a bigger room or a bit better view but you have the same 4 km beach, white sand, blue water that everyone shares and enjoys. We took cheapest possible room type called “Superior”.

Those room are located on the 2nd of 3rd floors of the hotel (corridors are outside the building, building is quite small and long as most of hotels due to that they are all located on the coast line with one side and to the main and only road on the other side).

We took twin room (although wanted to get a double one but they did not offer it). Superior twin room at Two Seasons has everything you need and is nicely furnished, has quite small but very convenient bathroom with shower. Bathroom was fully equipped with everything; you don’t need to order anything for extra cost.

Room had a small side balcony facing the inside of the hotel. We had TV, air-conditioning,working-desk, mini-nar, safe big enough to keep 2 laptops, camera and camcorder. Basically that was it for the room but we have not spent any extra minute in the room when we were on one of the greatest islands on planet Earth! Yeah!

!

Tip: If you want to get more privacy do not get a room higher than superior class (not counting the luxury sweet on top of the building with it’s amazing view) as all those rooms are on the first floor, have big windows and all facing inner corridor (outside) where all people who arrive or depart walk through. Plus to this they are close to small pool that noisy kids love.

Breakfast was included in the package price (I used ZEST Air packages for this trip, it had some small issues but overall – good) and was OK, nothing special. Good selection of fruits, you can get fresh omelet and so on and so forth.

!

Tip: If you are planning to visit Boracay during the peak season (end of February to May) I suggest you book at least 3-4 weeks in advance or more to get good price and good place.

To finish this short review I want to say that Two Seasons Boracay hotel is a great place to stay on Station 1 on the Island, it is walking distance to all the fun on this amazing island is affordable comparing to many other hotels in the same zone and just a very nice place to spend a week or even two!

If you visit Philippines you must visit Boracay!
